 Medical Screening

Medical screens differ from the standard work place screens due to the types of material that are better suited. In most healthcare, medical or hospital settings, easy clean materials are best. Solid finishes such as laminate, perspex and anti-bacterial fabric thrive in the medical space due to the ways each can be maintained.

We use HPL (high gloss laminate) as part of the easy clean room dividers, supplying a hardwearing surface. The white gloss laminate can be thoroughly cleaned, which is attractive to medial spaces from a sterile point of view.

Other materials are available and thrive in a germ conscious environments such as treated anti-bacterial fabric and acrylic.

Whether you need screens on the go or as a permanent fixture, the possible panels types can suit the requirement. Portable dividers, free standing partitions and desk screens are available to divide and frame specific area, whilst keeping the easy clean aspect at the forefront of the design.

Desk screens are for the medical offices and reception areas. Cover the area with Perspex screens as full visibility is kept intact, yet division is evident and easy to clean. The other versatile materials; laminate and treated, are used across the desk top model.

How to clean the HPL (high gloss laminate)

Being able to disinfect medical privacy screens is of utmost interest. Daily cleaning is integral to the general upkeep in addition to keeping on top of germ control and limiting the spread.

The gloss laminate can withstand medical grade anti-bacterial cleaners that contain bleach for a full clean. Spray and clean both sides of the panel and wipe. Clean as frequently as needed to keep the space safe and sterile.

White laminate can also be used as a white board as all panel types can accept dry wipe pens.

Anti-bacterial fabrics

Different in maintenance and visual, the anti-bacterial fabric require little work, includes a fantastic range of colours and has a faux leather appearance.

As the fabric has already been treated with sanitized technology, the material has the strength to fight against germs and bacteria. As suitable for the medical space, the fabric is resistant to blood and urine.

When it comes to cleaning, minimal effort is required as the material does a lot of the work for you. All that’s needed is warm soapy water when required.
