 Portable Acoustic Screens

Make acoustic screens portable with the addition of castor wheels.

Combining acoustic panels and portability creates a unique style, one that isn’t seen too often. However, we understand the need for versatility and that the environment is constantly changing.

Our portable acoustic screens use high quality acoustic foams and a range of fabrics that not only help with office design but enhance the acoustic experience. The joining of soft fabrics help with more noise absorption and a bigger impact on the room.

Each of the partitions are supplied with a set of castor feet that have durable wheels and a locking function. Once the mobile acoustic screens have been positioned, engage the lock for more support when using over a long term period.

Offering a smooth transition when on the move, the castor wheel enable regular movement between loud areas.

How can acoustic partition screens benefit the space?

A space without any soft furnishings has excess echo and makes everything louder. As an office is pieced together, the echo reduces, yet the noise can remain.

In a working space that revolves around phone calls and high customer interaction, noise levels tend to be quite high. High noise levels have been ruled one of the biggest office distractions, thus having a negative impact on the way we work.

By incorporating acoustic materials, the noise can be absorbed. Sound absorption works by removing some of the sound waves and reducing the rebound back into the open space. Whilst mobile screens can’t be used as a fully sound proofing option, noise can be reduced in an attractive and functional way.

Reducing noise has the potential to increase productivity, create a happier space and maximise concentration levels.

Optimising the portable aspect

Once the castor feet have been added, the portable partitions have a brand-new use. More flexibility and as much movement as needed. The portability is an asset to make use of in ever changing work areas. The castor wheels fit into the base of the screen, and when fitted can be lightly pushed to move and redirect into the open plan areas. Move single panels or a cluster of screens to create a temporary office wall to form working nooks, break zones and individual work stations.

Use both the acoustics and mobility to creatively use space on a temporary and permanent basis.

Available options from Rap Office Screens

Offering options from the different panel ranges gives a choice of design, cost and fabric colours.

To keep cost low, and quality high, the Budget Acoustic Panels use a 12mm acoustic foam and plenty of fabric options from the woven range.

As a mid range choice, the Morton room dividers include a frame which changes the appearance. Available in black, white or silver to compliment the choice of fabrics

The Delta and Nova are the premium choice and feature a thicker 24mm acoustic foam. A thicker foam absorbs more noise and has the potential to create an even quieter workplace.

Offering a range of linking and non linking double sided portable partitions to maximise space and minimise noise. The built in linking attribute is part of the Budget and Morton screens, each are supplied with a flexible linking strip.

Utilising the linking feature will increase the width possibilities and allow for different panels layouts to take shape.

The non linking screens are the Delta and Nova partition screens, both of which have a smooth edged finish. For a fun contrast, the Delta has the signature blue edging that's used across the full range.
