Re-purpose your office space
If you have unused space in the office, now is the time to make unused space useful.
Office pods can be created with 2 to 4 walls, depending on where the pod will be located. Connecting to existing walls is possible, and would require only 2 sections of panels to create a full room. Constructing a complete, free standing pod requires 4 walls, a door and all the acoustic panels it needs.
Commonly used for meeting rooms, training areas and addition work space, the custom made cubicles are private, sound absorbing and built to last.
Whilst the majority of the screens are acoustic, other finishes can be incorporated to elevate the design and functionality.
White laminate panels are easy to clean and bring a whiteboard feature into the layout. Ideal for training and meetings as the laminate accepts dry wipe pens and is perfect for notes whilst being built into one of the walls.
Acrylic panels can be added as part of the 2 or 3 part screens, acting like a window and taking away the full enclosed feeling.
How to order your made to order Acoustic Pod
To ensure the cubicle is as planned, we have a thorough process to ensure best fit and a high quality finish.
- Possibly one of the most important steps, step one is to measure the space. Accurate measurements should be taken to guarantee the pod will fit into the space without any issue. If the pod is to go near the wall, take into consideration any skirting boards, plug sockets or fixings that could affect the placement. Please take maximum measurements for the height, width and depth.
- Once the measurements have been confirmed, the style of the room can be discussed. Are you looking to control noise? Do you need a door? This is the time to discuss any specifics the pod must have to meet your requirement.
- To showcase the sizing, a basic drawing can be provided to sign off. From this point we’ll be able to provide a formal quotation and a lead time. Each screen and component will be made to order, please all up to 30 working days.
How acoustic pods and panels support work space
Additionally, to reusing space, there are other benefits to be gained by adding acoustic screens as part of a pod into the workplace. Acoustic screens are made with a solid core and surrounding by acoustic foam. The foam is the key material with noise absorption, reducing noise and distractions. As the fabrics are soft, they also contribute to reduced noise.
Meetings and personal conversations can take place within the pods, as noise is blocked from inside and outside. The acoustic work to reduce sound, but aren’t able to block or stop the noise completely. This should be considered when choosing the placement and the type of panels you’d like to include.
For the most effective acoustic office pod, we'd advise to have 4 walls which feature the acoustic foam and high quality fabrics. As with any space, the more soft furnishings available, the less echo and noise reverberation there will be.
Our pods are highly recommended for phone booths and meeting pods. Giving you the opportunity to reuse space in open plan areas that are other wise unused. Pods are designed with noise reduction, privacy and the ability to maximise every metre of floor space in mind.
