 Acoustic Meeting Pods

When a dedicated meeting room isn’t present, Rap Office Screens have made it easier than ever to add your own. Constructed with a collection of office panels, we’ve designed various office meeting pods for various floor spaces with useful features.

Formed with free standing screens with an acoustic or acrylic nature, the pods provide the environment with many advantages that support an office setting. The booths have taken into consideration noise, privacy and the basic needs of adding a new permanent feature into the workplace.

Take an open plan area, and effectively transform in to a cost effective work pod. Suitable for meetings, phone booths, additional working space all whilst restructuring the office layout.

Choose from a wide range of fabrics to add colour and style to the partitioned space. A combination of upholstered acoustic panels, perspex and laminate form the ideal setting for meetings and time away from the larger office space.

Types of Acoustic Meeting Pods

The enclosed rooms include 4 walls and a door, replicating a room but with a freestanding style. Rather than taking the route of big costs and permanent builds, a free standing pod can be erected in the space at any time. Whilst also having the scope for changes of layout in the future.

Half pod designs have a more relaxed approach with 2 walls and rather than a full room, only a section of the office is needed. Use the L shape acoustic screens to provide enough coverage of a table and seating with restricted vision.

Alternatively, the Morton meeting pod doesn’t require doors, as the entrance points make the double pod design feel welcoming. The S shape creates 2 separates spaces to be used at the same time, without causing any disruption. As part of the layout, the easy clean laminate adds a white board feature which is incredibly useful for training and meeting purposes.

How are the meeting spaces created?

To keep the installation process as easy as possible, we use various screens from our wide collection of office screens. Connecting the panels takes little time and requires the use of the supplied linking strip. The flexibility of the link strip allows for the corners to be made at a 90 degree angle.

For even easier layouts, the non linking panels sit edge to edge.

Acoustic, acrylic and laminate partitions

  • The acoustic panels include either a 12mm or 24mm acoustic foam, which is the main layer needed to support loud work areas. Acoustics make up the majority of the pod, as the meeting space should have increased privacy away from the remainder of the office.
  • Acrylic when paired with an acoustic panel removes the full solid effect of the panel and welcomes a window like feature.
  • Not only do the Laminate office screens have a clean look, but when added to the configuration, helps to save space and keep the panels functional. The laminate is compatible with dry wipe pens, so part of the meeting wall also acts a white board for meeting notes and training details.
